Yomikai API Developer Guide

Centralized anime & manga streaming aggregation, real-time TMDB enrichment, and multi-source playback engine.

Internal Authentication Header: Every API route documented here (except GET /, GET /playground, and GET /api/system/status) requires an x-animex-internal-token header. In production, configure your client or backend service with the authorized secret.

Architectural Overview

Yomikai API serves as the centralized backend service for anime streaming, manga reading, and rich metadata aggregation. It unifies disparate upstream scrapers into standardized, high-speed JSON contracts.

  • Native TMDB Enrichment: Seamlessly combines AniList metadata with The Movie Database (TMDB) to provide canonical episode names, still backdrops, and Japanese titles.
  • Multi-Source Stream Racing: Aggregates streams across HiAnime, Megaplay, Vidnest, and AnimePahe with automated fallback so playback remains uninterrupted.
  • AniSkip Auto-Integration: Real-time opening (OP) and ending (ED) skip timestamp intervals bundled directly into source responses.
  • Lightweight Zero-Puppeteer Engine: 100% native HTTP and AJAX scraping, eliminating browser overhead for maximum speed and sub-50ms cache hits.
